Brandon Beane is the new general manager of the Buffalo Bills.
Beane has spent the last two seasons as assistant GM of the Carolina Panthers and served as director of football operations before that.
He held several roles over the last 19 years with the Panthers and worked with new Bills head coach Sean McDermott the last six seasons.
The 40-year-old Beane replaces Doug Whaley, who was fired a day after the NFL Draft.
The Bills, who finished 7-and-9 last season, haven't made the playoffs since 1999.
