The Auburn Police Department previously reported a burglary that occurred at the Finger Lakes SPCA located at 41 York St., Auburn, NY. Employees of the SPCA reported that someone had broken into the SPCA on the evening of 05/02/2017. When employees returned to the SPCA on 05/03/2017 it was discovered that someone had broken into the SPCA and stole a Pit Bull puppy named Jed. Thanks to numerous tips from the public; members of the Auburn Police Department have located Jed. Jed was turned over to the Auburn Police Department without incident. Jed has been returned to the Finger Lakes SPCA. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time. The Auburn Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in the safe recovery of Jed.
