Pair Rescued as Car floated down Onondaga Creek

Syracuse, N.Y. - A pair of people on Syracuse's Southside needed rescuing last night after their care went off the road and ended up floating sown Onondaga Creek.

Syracuse Police were called out just after 10:30 p.m. near Ballantyne Road between Midland Ave and Valley Drive for a car that was floating in the creek with people inside.

Syracuse police and firefighters were able to rescue the vehicle's two occupants.

Investigators are still trying to figure out why the car ended up in the creek.
