Dryden, N.Y. – The Dryden Middle and High School is closed today following a garbage fire.
District Officials say that they need to do some air quality test before they can reopen the school.
“We take student safety very seriously,” said Dryden Superintendent Sandy Sherwood. “The school has evacuation and emergency procedures in place to keep our kids safe, and they were followed accordingly.”
Nobody was hurt as a result of the fire and the school needed to be evacuated.
The Elementary School was unaffected and will be open.
