Another rabid bat has been discovered in Onondaga County. The Health Department says a man in Liverpool doing some yard work discovered the weak bat when his dogs started playing with it.
One of the dogs is now being tested for exposure to rabies. Health officials say as the warmer weather arrives, more cases of rabies will be uncovered in many animals locally.
County health officials are also suggesting that everyone bat-proof their home by plugging any holes in your house with steel wool.
