Victim Of Recent Shooting Is Dead



On Sunday April 16th, 2017 at approximately 5:07 PM, Syracuse Police Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Lodi Street, near E. Division Street in regards to a shooting call.  Upon arrival, Officers located a male in his 20’s who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his back.  The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance.  The victim was listed in critical condition, but died of his injuries Sunday night.  The victim has been identified as Wynban C. Goddard, 26 years old, of Syracuse N.Y.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.  Witnesses report that the suspect was possibly a black male wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and light colored pants.  He reportedly left the scene on foot, southbound on Lodi Street.  There is no additional information available at this time.
