A North Country baseball coach has been arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
State Police say they were called to Indian River High School where they arrested Coach Lloyd Kevin Smith. Troopers claim that Smith was performing mixed martial art maneuvers with a 16 year old male student.
One of the demonstrations was a choke-hold type maneuver which caused the student become unconscious. The student then fell to the ground and struck his head on a glass and metal door. Smith was released and is scheduled to appear in court tonight.
