SU Warning Students Of Suspicious Event

Syracuse University is warning students of a suspicious man approaching women. Thursday SU issued a notice to students and faculty saying the man approached a number of women on campus asking unusual questions.  Details about the questions weren't given but DPS asks anyone approached by him to call them or use the university's Silent Witness Tool.

"The Department of Public Safety (DPS) has received information that several women on campus have been approached by a male subject and asked a number of unusual questions. The individual has stated that he is conducting a survey and that his survey requires he ask the questions in a number of different settings. The male is described as being approximately 5’8” tall, thin build, with dark hair and dark eyes. DPS is asking that if you are approached by anyone consistent with the description and mode of operation listed above, do not engage this individual and call DPS as soon as possible. Should you have any information or knowledge regarding any similar incidents, contact the Syracuse University Department of Public Safety at 315.443.2224.
