A Rome man has been arrested after police say he was involved in a violent home invasion. Police were called to the Bloomfield Garden Apartments on east Bloomfield Street where they found a man who had been cut by a knife in his abdomen.
The victim told police that 37 year old Harry Rodriguez Jr. had gone to his apartment to visit him.While Rodriguez was inside, he forcibly removed cash from the victim and a struggle ensued and that when police say Rodriguez pulled out a knife and slashed the victim across his stomach.
Rodriguez then fled the apartment and a day later he was taken into custody. Rodriguez has been charged with First Degree Robbery and Second Degree Assault.
