Police Make Arrest In Attempted Rite Aid Robbery

Syracuse Police responded yesterday to the Rite-Aid on Butternut Street -- where an employee reported Kristin Armstead of Syracuse, passed four counterfeit twenty dollar bills, became combative, pulled a knife from her pocket, and threatened to stab an employee.  The victim grabbed a mop to protect himself and was able to get Armstead out of the store.  Police located Armstead in the 400 block of James Street where she was taken in to custody.  Police say Armstead’s boyfriend, Steven Dubose was arrested for allegedly trying to interfere with Armstead's arrest.
