A third man is being identified in connection with a deadly Syracuse hit and run. Syracuse.com says a source familiar with the investigation puts pharmaceutical salesman Benjamin Mashie of Buffalo in Peter Rauch's car at the time of the crash. The source also said that Syracuse firefighter Edward Ackerman was following Rauch at the time in a truck. The source said Rauch is believed to have taken off on foot after ditching the car while Ackerman and Mashie holed up at an athletic club nearby.
