Syracuse Police Investigating A Shooting



Syracuse, N.Y. – On Sunday March 12th, 2017 at approximately 7:35 PM, Syracuse Police Officers responded to the area of South Avenue and Martin Luther King Blvd. West in regards to a motor vehicle collision. Additional callers to the 911 center reported that an occupant of the vehicle had been shot prior to the crash.  Upon arrival, Officers met a male in his 20’s, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm. The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The initial investigation revealed that the incident occurred in the 500 block of Cortland Avenue at approximately 7:30 PM.  At this time, there is no suspect information available.
