A Syracuse man is facing charges after an hours long armed standoff with police. Police say the standoff with Rotimi Nibbs began yesterday with a domestic dispute with his girlfriend in the 100 block of Burnett Avenue. Nibbs was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Stolen Property, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. A loaded 38 caliber semi-automatic handgun was recovered at the scene, which had previously been reported to police as stolen. Nibbs will be lodged in the Onondaga County Justice Center when cleared from the hospital.
