Governor Cuomo Back Following Israel Trip

Governor Cuomo is back in New York Monday after a whirlwind trip to Israel on the heels of anti-Semitic bomb threats and vandalism, including threats to the Syracuse JCC in Dewitt.  He spent less than 24 hours there over the weekend, but managed to squeeze in meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin, plus a visit to Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust Memorial. Cuomo said he felt he needed to do more than simply visit local synagogues to counter recent waves of anti-Semitism around the country.  He's also created a commission to strengthen economic ties between Israel and New York.
