Utica Police have raided an apartment building for the second time in a week and uncovered thirty cats living in a small apartment.
The SPCA in Mattydale was called to the Utica apartment where they found 30 cats living inside a one-bedroom apartment and conditions there were unsanitary. The cats have been transported to the SPCA's shelter in Mattydale.
The agency says arrests are expected in the case. It comes just a few days after police seized 44 small dogs in the same apartment building that an elderly woman was trying to take care of. The SPCA closed for the day yesterday to deal with the influx of all the animals.
