A Syracuse man could get more than 30 years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually abusing a young girl for years. 31 year old James Bailey went on trial this week for the abuse that occurred over a period of four years, when the victim was just nine years old.
A jury quickly found him guilty. Prosecutors say bailey raped and abused the young victim every week for a period of four years.. The victim never told the police about her abuse until she was 19 years old and prosecutors say it took two years to build a case against him after he was arrested in 2015.
