Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney is jumping on the Andrew Cuomo bandwagon again. In a joint statement with the Governor, County Executive Joanie Mahoney endorsed Cuomo's plan to reduce property taxes by empowering voters to approve locally-designed plans that deliver shared services to lower the cost of local government.
Mahoney says county executives across the state should convene local government to meetings to develop shared service plans. The county executive says she looks forward to meeting with local governments across the county to have an open dialogue.
Earlier this month, the Consensus Commission suggested that the City of Syracuse and other local governments be dissolved and instead form a colossal metro county government.
