State lawmakers are now considering a plan to make it illegal to drive around with too much snow on your car.There's a plan on the table in Albany to make it illegal for anyone to drive with more than three inches of snow on their car.. The proposed law calls for a 150 dollars fine or 12 hundred dollars if a driver gets into an accident.
There have been similar attempts in recent years to pass this law, but all of them have failed. Supporters say snow flying off cars on highways causes plenty of accidents every winter. The new bill is still waiting for a vote in the Assembly and Senate.
