Onondaga County Issues Travel Advisory Potential for Hazardous Road Conditions. County Executive Joanie Mahoney has issued a Travel Advisory for Onondaga County until 1:00 PM, Monday,February 13, 2017. This travel advisory does not restrict travel. It is a warning to motorists that hazardous driving conditions may exist throughout the county. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning, which expire son Monday, February 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Per the National Weather Service, this Winter Storm Warning means heavy snow and some ice is expected or occurring. Heavy snow and strong winds is occurring across Onondaga County, especially in the Southern half, that will make travel very dangerous.Please monitor local forecasts and conditions as the impact varies depending on location. Precautionary/preparedness actions: For the safety of all residents, the general public is encouraged to consider the need to be on the roads during the above time frame and to use extreme caution while traveling in or around Onondaga County.
