Syracuse City Schools are closed Friday after the city received a fresh batch of lake effect snow. Many other CNY schools are delayed or closed. The National Weather Service has Lake Effect Snow Advisories in effect through the morning for some parts of CNY. As of 5:20 AM Friday, the band of lake effect snow was just south of the city of Syracuse.
