A Rome man has been arrested and charged with assaulting his six month old child. 30 year old Stephen Lacey is behind bars and his infant child remains in a Syracuse hospital. Rome Police say Lacey brought the child to a Rome hospital after he had been left along with the child.
The infant was later transferred to a Syracuse hospital for treatment. Police aren't saying how the child was injured but the baby is expected to survive the injuries. Child Protective Services was called in because Lacey has other children. Lacey has been charged with felony assault.
