A Syracuse jail deputy is guilty of stealing and popping a prescription sedative on duty. Prosecutors argued that John Giocondo of Liverpool took a Librium from the jail nurses station. The defense argued that no one saw the event but witnesses said Giocondo was seen out cold later. He wasn't immediately sentenced to jail and it's reported that he has a known drug and alcohol problem.
