Onondaga County Sheriffs Deputies have arrested an alleged drug dealer in DeWitt, which is connected with a drug surveillance operation at Springfield garden Apartments.That surveillance led to an incident where an undercover detective was hot at several times while sitting in his unmarked car at the apartment complex.
31 year old Jose Marcano has been charged with three drug counts in the case and is being held on 50 thousand dollars bail.The undercover detective was watching Marcano last night when he was approached by two suspects who fired at least ten rounds into the officers car, shattering his windows.Fortunately, the officer escaped serious injury, but the two suspects are still on the loose.
