Governor Cuomo is announcing a new onramp to Interstate 690 from the state fairgrounds. The proposed ramp would only allow drivers to enter the highway westbound and if they need to go eastbound they would need to find a place to turn around. Officials say that while this is imperfect it will still help decrease wait times and improve safety. The ramp from the fairgrounds Orange Lot is expected to be finished by next summer.
