The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office reports that Deputies are investigating a fatal crash that occurred overnight on Butternut Drive in the Town of DeWitt. A Volkswagen Jetta, operated by an adult male in his 30’s lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle drove off the east side of the road where it struck a cement barrier before rolling over several times and striking a utility pole, bringing down several wires. The driver, whose name is being withheld at this time, pending next of kin notification, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and suffered a traumatic injury.
