In a significant political development, President Donald Trump has endorsed Anthony Constantino, CEO of Sticker Mule, in the race for New York's 21st Congressional District. This endorsement, announced on Tuesday (April 21), supports Constantino over the New York GOP's preferred candidate, Assemblymember Robert Smullen. Trump expressed his support for Constantino on Truth Social, highlighting his backing by prominent MAGA figures like Rudy Giuliani and Roger Stone.

The 21st District, currently represented by Elise Stefanik, who is not seeking re-election, has become a battleground for Republican candidates. Constantino's campaign gained attention due to his large "Vote for Trump" sign, which led to a legal battle in 2024. Trump's endorsement complicates the primary race, with Smullen accusing Stone of misleading the president. Despite the endorsement, Smullen remains confident, stating, "I’m confident that I’m going to win the Republican primary."

The district, which Trump won in previous elections, is expected to remain Republican, but rising fuel costs and tariffs have given New York Democrats hope for an upset in November. Constantino's endorsement by Trump could influence the primary outcome, but the race remains contentious, with Smullen securing the Conservative Party's nomination, ensuring his place on the November ballot.
