Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Ashanti has been added to the lineup for the 2026 Great New York State Fair in Syracuse. The artist will take the stage at Suburban Park on Monday (August 31) at 8 p.m., as part of the fair’s Chevrolet Music Series.
Ashanti is known for chart-topping hits like "Foolish," "Baby," "Happy," and collaborations such as "Always on Time" with Ja Rule and "What’s Luv?" with Fat Joe. She gained international attention after her self-titled debut album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Album. In 2022, the singer was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contributions to music, as reported by WSYR-TV.
Fair Director Julie LaFave said, "Ashanti helped define an era of R&B with songs that fans still love to sing along to today. Her catalog of hits and magnetic stage presence make her a fantastic addition to this year’s entertainment lineup!" The Chevrolet Music Series will feature over 40 national recording acts, with all concerts included in the price of admission, as noted by WGRZ-TV.
The Great New York State Fair runs from Wednesday (August 26) through Labor Day, Monday (September 7). General admission tickets cost $8 for adults, while children under 12 and seniors aged 65 and older can attend for free. Tickets will go on sale later this summer, with more concert announcements expected in the coming months. All shows are included with fair admission, making it one of the most affordable state fairs in the country.
