Syracuse Man Arrested After DWI And Assaulting A State Trooper

Town of Salina, N.Y. - A Syracuse man was arrested after assaulting a State Trooper.

The Trooper was patrolling Brewerton Road in the town of Salina around 1am, Saturday when they conducted a traffic stop.

The Trooper felt the driver 27 year old Quadeer Lumpkin was drunk.

He failed a field sobriety tests and he resisted arrest.

During the scuffle Lumpkin struck a female Trooper with his elbow in the face. The Trooper was treated for a fractured nose and released.

Lumpkin was arrested for the following:

  • Assault 2nd degree, class “D” felony
  • Resisting Arrest, class “A” misdemeanor
  • Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree, class “A” misdemeanor
  • DWI, an unclassified misdemeanor

Lumpkin was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center and remanded without bail.
