Syracuse Resident Arrested After Dog Found Dead

Syracuse, N.Y. - A Syracuse resident has been charged with 4 counts of animal cruelty.

Police Animal Cruelty Unit arrested 53-year-old Shenandoah Gilbert after receiving a deceased dog complaint.

Police determined after necropsy of the dog revealed the animal died from hypothermia, in addition, the dog suffered from starvation and heartworm disease.

Gilbert was issued an appearance ticket and released.
