Onondaga County Rolling Out Mobile Testing For COVID19

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County is looking to roll out mobile coronavirus testing to screen more people for the disease.

County Executive Ryan McMahon says areas that are considered "hot spots" for the illness will be targeted first.

Those locations include senior independent living facilities and properties owned by the Syracuse Housing Authority.

In order to be able to start reopening the economy, the county has to be able to conduct 14-thousand coronavirus tests a month. Officials say that's roughly the total number of county residents who have been screened in the last several weeks.
