Syracuse Man Hit On West Seneca Turnpike Identified

Town of Onondaga, N.Y. - Onondaga County Sheriffs are investigating an accident involving a truck that struck a pedestrian yesterday afternoon on West Seneca Turnpike in the Town of Onondaga.

Around 2 oclock yestreday, police say 35 year old Daniel Hughes of Syracuse, walked into thte path of a tree service truck and was struck. Hughes was rushed to the hopital and underwent surgery. he is listed in ctrical condition.

The driver of the truck, Matthew Flanagan and his passenger, Matthew Flanagan Jr, both employed by Apple Valley Tree Service, were not injured in the accident.

Deputies continue to investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding the accident

No tickets have been issued.
