Two Drown In Oneida Lake Since Friday

Syracuse, N.Y. - Oneida Lake has claimed the lives of two people since Friday.

Divers from Oneida County recovered the body today of 51 year old James Gambini, of Plains, Pennsylvania. Gambini jumped from a boat near Sylvan beach Friday evening and didn't surface.

Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputies say 62-year-old Richard Whitney of West Monroe was swept away by the current on Saturday. His body was found yesterday just north of Dunham Island. He was not wearing a life jacket and the current pulled him from shore.
