Syracuse Fire-crews Battle Northside Blaze

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse firefighters spent several hours putting out a large fire on the city's northside.

The fire was reported around 12:45 a.m. on Jasper Street, near Oak Street. Fire officials say that the roof did collapse on the vacant house and that the structure is declared a total loss.

No one was hurt. The investigation into what sparked the fire is underway.
