Mahoney's Tenure As County Executive Winds Down

Syracuse, N.Y. - The end of Joanie Mahoney's tenure as County Executive is nearly at an end.

Mahoney is taking a job with SUNY and will be working to right the course of ESF and Upstate Medical University. She said that she would not formally step-down until the 2019 County Budget was passed.

Beginning at 1:00 p.m. the Legislature will vote on next year's spending plan. It is expected to pass.

Last week, lawmakers voted their Chairman Ryan McMahon to serve the remaining 13-months of his term.
