Syracuse Suspect In September Fatal Shooting Caught

Syracuse, N.Y. - On September 14th, just after 10 o'clock Syracuse Police responded to the 100 block of Davis Street in regards to a shooting call. 

There they found a male, 26 year old Zyree  McMullen of Syracuse suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was taken to a Hospital  where he died from his injuries. 

An investigation was conducted, which consisted of interviews, a thorough neighborhood canvass and the examination of evidence recovered at the scene. Police were able to identify a suspect, 25 year old Amir D. Williams Jr.

On September 27th, with help from the U.S. Marshals Service, Williams, the suspect, was located in Cleveland, OH.

Yesterday Williams was transported back to Syracuse, where Detectives charged him with Murder in the 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree.
