Albany, N.Y. - New York's Senior Senator Chuck Schumer is endorsing Governor Cuomo in his bid for re-election.
"As governor, he has a deep record of meaningful, progressive accomplishment — something he will only continue to enhance going forward," Schumer said in a statement provided by the Cuomo campaign. "He will continue to be a stalwart fighting against Donald Trump’s dangerous and damaging agenda. At a time when we are facing unprecedented challenges, New York needs Andrew Cuomo’s proven, experienced leadership more than ever before"
Cuomo faces former Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon in a Democratic primary on September 13th. The governor is looking to secure his third term in office.
