Ex-Fairmount Five Guys Manager Sent To Prison For Theft

A former manager of the Fairmount Five Guys Burgers & Fries was sent to state prison today. 

48 year old Darcy Lyons pled guilty in July of 2017 to stealing nightly cash deposits for almost a year, form July 2015 til May 2016. She failed to repay a substantial amount event though her father took out a reverse mortgage on his house to help her pay $20,000 of the $122,000 she stole.  

The thefts hurt the franchise owner of the chain significantly. The owner stopped taking a salary and borrowed from his children's college fund after the thefts according to Judge Thomas Miller.

 Judge Miller sentenced Lyons to 1 2/3 to 5 years  in prison.
