Syracuse Man Shot In Brazen Daylight Shooting

A man was shot today in broad daylight while walking on Grant Boulevard.

Syracuse Police say the victim, who is about 20 years old, was shot at least once at about 1:38. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital with serious injuries. 

The victim told police he was walking on Grant Boulevard near Wheaton Road when he was shot by a man wearing all black and a black mask, Helterline said. The shooter, who was also on foot, fired at least three times.

The suspect may have fled south on Wheaton Road, according to police

Sections of Grant Boulevard are closed while police continue to investigate.
