Onondaga County Sheriffs have released the identity of the man who drowned last night near Aero Marina on Oneida Lake.
Patrick Cafarchio, 26 of North Syracuse, was fishing from his kayak when it overturned. He struggled but was unable to stay above water according to witnesses.
Multiple resources from around the County aided in the search for the Cafarchio. Dive teams located his body and he was brought to shore where he was pronounced dead.
Cafarchio was not wearing a personal flotation device which is required by law prior to May 1st.
