Albany, N.Y. - After days of negotiations, New York lawmakers have agreed on a new state budget. On Saturday the $168 billion budget was finalized just one day ahead of the deadline.
Governor Cuomo said the budget protects many New Yorkers from recent changes to the federal tax code.
However the Child Victims Act was stripped from the spending plan which would have extended the statute of limitations for children who were sexually assaulted.
