Miner Is Considering Running For Office This Year

Syracuse, N.Y. - Former Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner says she won't be running for Congress anytime soon but still has the Governor's Mansion in her sight.

Miner telling the New York Times that she is strongly considering challenging Governor Andrew Cuomo in a Democrat Party Primary. Miner would be the first major challenger to rise on the Democrats' side.  In 2014, a relatively unknown candidate, Zephyr Teachout shocked State Politicos when she won more than a third of the primary vote. 

Miner, also told the Times she will not challenge Republican Central New York Congressman John Katko.
