Two Whitesboro teens are facing burglary and robbery charges after a home break-in was interrupted by by the occupant.
Utica police say 17-year-olds Kameron Evans (left) and Eian Delmedico (right) broke into a home on Nielson Street September 25 and began removing property when they were confronted by the female occupant. One of the suspects displayed what looked like a handgun, and the woman reacted by getting her boyfriend and another friend to attack the suspects until police arrived. Officers took Evans and Delmedico into custody and recovered the handgun, which turned out to be a BB gun. Delmedico was injured during the altercation with the resident's boyfriend, and was treated before his arrest.
The investigation continues, with detectives looking into several leads from the incident.
