An Upstate sheriffs deputy has been arrested and charged with possessing thousands of images of child pornography.
The feds say they've arrested Sheriffs Department Sergeant Peter Farnum of Ballston Spa and he's accused of receiving and possessing child pornography. The Saratoga County Sheriff says Farnum is a seven year veteran for the force and was working as patrol supervisor at the time, and he's been suspended without pay.
The feds claim he stored thousands of pornographic images of children on his home computer. He could get 20 years in prison if convicted.
