Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner is challenging Congressman John Katko to a verbal duel.
Mayor Miner wants Congressman Katko to agree to debate her in a public forum about the new Republican health care bill. Miner claims the bill would be devastating to those who get Obamacare and for Central New York hospitals, which may be forced to layoff thousands.
Miner says Syracuse's hospitals could lose $83M in federal funding and put more than 45 hundred healthcare jobs at risk.
Katko voted was one of the few Republicans that broke ranks and voted against the GOP House Bill.
