DeWitt firefighters were called out this morning after a series of big truck caught fire. A passerby spotted one truck on fire At Beam Mack Sales and Service on East Malloy Road.
The rigs were sitting in the parking lot of the business when one truck caught fire and then the flames spread to four others.
Firefighters had trouble dousing the flames because they were dealing with burning fuel and rubber and 20 gallons of fuel spilled into the parking lot. All five trucks were destroyed and the case has now being handled by county fire investigators, who have not speculated on a cause.
