State Police Renew Plea For Public Help In Cold Case

State Police have renewed a public plea in a 36 year old cold case.In July of 1980, 28 year old Stephen Forbes of Baldwinsville was reported missing by his family members. He was last seen alive on July 8th of that year.He had been driving his blue 1977 Dodge pickup truck which was later parked unattended in the parking lot of Hancock Airport in Syracuse.

Forbes had been last seen leaving a friend's home on Vine Street in Liverpool.State Police say on August 8th of that year, the body of Forbes was discovered in a wooded area off Route 20 in the Town of Lafayette. Discarded construction debris and garbage was also located in the same area.

Forbes was a business partner in the "Novel T-Shirt Store" in Oswego County.Anyone with information on the case is being asked to contact State Police at 315-366-6003.
