Syracuse Man Busted With Drugs, Gun And Cash After 3 Month Investigation

Syracuse, N.Y. - A Syracuse man arrested on a slew of drug charges.

A 3 month investigation, by Onondaga County Sheriff’ office has lead to the arrest of 26 year old Cyrus Turnquest.

Deputies had staked out his apartment at Plaza Apartments at 1108 East Genesee Street in the City of Syracuse.

Over the three months they developed probable cause for narcotics-related search warrants.

When they executed the warrants on Turnquest's apartment and his car they found the following:

  • Approximately 91oz. (5.6 lbs.) of pills that tested positive for the presence of fentanyl.
  • Approximately 71.6oz. (4.48 lbs.) of psilocybin mushrooms.
  • Approximately 3.1oz. of cocaine.
  • Approximately 24.8oz. (1.55lbs) of pills that tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
  • Approximately 1.63oz. of ketamine.
  • Approximately 3.03oz. of oxycodone pills.
  • Approximately 2,220 alprazolam pills.
  • Dextroamphetamine pills.
  • A quantity of Methyl​enedioxy​methamphetamine (MDMA).
  • Packaging, scales, cutting materials, and a pill press.
  • $97,561 cash
  • A Taurus .357 revolver with a box of 50 rounds of ammunition.

Turnquest was charged with

-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree

-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree

-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree

-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree

-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (8 counts)

-Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree (3 counts)

-Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree

-Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, and Criminal Possession of a firearm.

He is currently lodged at the Justice Center.
