State Police Arrest Syracuse Man On DWI After Crash And Fire In Jamesville

Jamesville, N.Y. - A rollover crash in Jamesville early Thursday morning resulted in a DWI charge.

State Police say around 1:30 they responded to Reidy Hill Road in the Town of Lafayette. Troopers discovered that 30 year old Steven Ouellette was driving on Lafayette Road in Jamesville when he swerved to avoid a deer. He lost control and his vehicle rolled onto its side and into a ditch. He tried to drive away from the scene, but his vehicle caught fire.

While talking to the man Troopers noticed signs of intoxication. He was arrested for Aggravated DWI with a BAC of .19

Ouellette was also issued traffic tickets including Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance and Operating an Unregistered motor vehicle.
