Town of Dewitt, N.Y. - Two people are dead after an officer involved shooting this morning.
Around 6am an Onondaga County Sheriffs Deputy responded to a trailer at Midler Meadows in the town of DeWitt.
The Deputy witnessed several males moving items between two vehicles, one a van, had been reported earlier involved in a burglary.
The van drove away almost hitting the Deputy and shots were fired. The Deputy was not injured.
The incident is reportedly connected to a shooting at the intersection of Hixson and Mooney Avenues not far from Henninger High that happened around 7 this morning.
Sheriff Toby Shelley is to provide more information at a press conference.
