Town of Sullivan, N.Y. - A fatal accident in Madison County Wednesday morning claimed the life of a child.
County Sheriffs say 53-year-old Abdirashid Noor from Syracuse was traveling on Route 31 near Smith Ridge Road when he tried to pass several vehicles at once.
He was going West in the East bound lane when he slammed head on into a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Jordan King of Fayetteville.
As a result of the crash a 9-year-old child, in the rear seat of King’s vehicle suffered severe injuries and died.
King, Noor, and Noor’s passenger all sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies continue to investigate
